Real Madrid 'set to announce contract extensions for five stars' including eye-watering £644m Isco release clause

According to reports in Spain, Isco, Marco Asensio, Marcelo, Dani Carvajal and Raphael Varane are set to pen fresh terms at the Bernabeu

Real Madrid are reportedly set to announce contract extensions for five first-team stars.
According to Spanish outlet Marca, Isco, Marco Asensio, Marcelo, Dani Carvajal and Raphael Varane are set to pen fresh terms at the Bernabeu.
And midfielder Isco's new deal, until 2021, will apparently come with an eye-watering buyout clause of €700million, around £644million.
It continues Zinedine Zidane's trait of tying his biggest-name players to contracts, with Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric all inking new deals last term.

Asensio has had a blistering start to the season
Marcelo's new deal will take him to 34

Karim Benzema is also allegedly close to agreeing an extended stay as Los Blancos move to fend off any rival interest in their star names.
The news comes in contrast to that of Clasico rivals, who lost Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain for a world record fee earlier this summer.
Lionel Messi is also yet to extend his contract, with the Argentine seemingly holding out to see how the Catalan giants perform in the rest of the transfer window.

Raiola does not represent Messi but the Italy-born Dutchman – whose list of clients includes Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, Marco Verratti, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic – believes the time is right for a change.
